Whenever I search internet of home-based businesses there are certain names in this industry that keep popping up; names of people that are always in front of you when you are on the web, touting their expertise in a particular area. Or these names keep showing up in your junk email box, repeatedly, several times a week (until you unsubscribe from their list). You will start to associate their names with the area of interest you are researching each time you see their name attached to an article on that particular topic.
There are certain names that I always think of when Ezine articles are mentioned. Why? Expert authors have written hundreds, if not thousands of articles that have been published by Ezine publications. As readers of these articles we begin to associate a level of expertise to the author the more times we see their names.
This is not by accident! These Ezine authors are using a method of branding themselves as experts in a field to get us, the consumers, to go view their websites or to seek them out elsewhere online because we have come to believe that they are an authority on a certain topic. After all, the more a person writes about something, the more knowledge they must have in that area and therefore must be an "expert." These savvy marketers have found a way to suggest to us that they have expertise - an expertise that will hopefully convince us to fulfill their ultimate goal - an internet sale!
