Plan to Map Urban Infrastructure

Planning infrastructure for the entire city or mapping utilities for a new community? The Federal Geographic Data Committee of the Homeland Security Working Group has created a number of standard symbols to depict the various facilities of urban and sub-urban infrastructure such as the basic facilities, services, and installations. These images, however, are limited to black-and-white gamma. If you need to design a contemporary Web site or print a color brochure, it is better to look elsewhere.

Standard Infrastructure Icons depict pretty much the same symbols and objects of city infrastructure as defined by the FGDC Homeland Security Working Group such as communication systems, government facilities, water and power lines, industrial facilities, and public venues such as universities, post offices, police stations and prisons. The set has everything needed to plan a block or community or even the entire city. Many facilities of urban and sub-urban infrastructure such as Schools, Factories, Processing Facilities, Storage, Postal Offices, Banks, Energy Facilities, Traffic Control, Airports, Bus Stations, Public Venues, Military Facilities, Roads, Recreational Areas, and many more are depicted. All icons share single style and colors, and can be used altogether or in any combination.

Use Standard Infrastructure Icons online or on paper. Small sizes look perfect on PDA or computer screens, while the biggest size can illustrate brochures and handouts. The icons come in a variety of sizes and resolutions, and include versions of 256x256, 48x48, 32x32, 24x24, 20x20, and 16x16 pixels. Thinking of poster-size or banner-size prints? Standard Infrastructure Icons have vector sources available for demanding users in Adobe Illustrator .ai format. Vector images can be rescaled to any size or resolution with absolutely no loss of quality while maintaining sharp, clearly defined edges and perfectly smooth looks.

The Standard Infrastructure Icons library is supplied in 256-color and True Color versions. The icons are available in ICO, PNG, GIF, and BMP formats, with vector sources supplied in Adobe Illustrator .ai format. Standard Infrastructure Icons are immediately available for online preview at www.standard-icons.com.
